Kevin is the Managing Principal and Founder of Hanford Investments LLC. Over the past 19 years, Kevin has brokered, bought, or sold over $300 million in multifamily real estate. He is a seasoned investor with the ability to manage virtually all aspects of the real estate investment process to include brokerage, financial modeling and analysis, acquisition and escrow management, capital program development and execution, operations oversight, and property dispositions. His skills have been put to work as a principal in eight apartment property acquisitions totaling 1,749 units valued at over $224 Million with over $42 Million of equity raised by Kevin directly.

His experience as a multifamily broker and owner have enabled him to smoothly manage escrows and close 100% of them within the contract time allotted. 

Prior to becoming a full-time investor, Kevin was a full-time multifamily broker where he earned his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and developed an expertise in representing buyer and sellers of multifamily real estate. He developed a keen eye for understanding the potential value of 100+ unit multifamily properties and communicating that value to prospective buyers and sellers. During his fourth year in the brokerage business, Kevin earned the Partner Circle top sales award given only to the top 5% of 700 brokers in his national firm Sperry Van Ness.

Prior to starting into real estate, Kevin spent 20 years in the United States Air Force as a pilot and Officer, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. During his career he flew over 3500 hours, served as an advisor to the US-AF’s Chief of Staff at the Pentagon in Washington DC, and led F-15C Squadron operations for two years in Elmendorf AFB Alaska.

Kevin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Arizona State University and a Masters in Business Administration from Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Matthew is a Principal of Hanford Investments LLC. In the past four years, Matthew has participated as a principal in the acquisition of three apartment properties totaling 420 units valued at over $98 Million.

Prior to joining Hanford Investments, Matthew founded and invested in multiple businesses in the fields of energy, healthcare, entertainment, and commercial real estate. In addition to his entrepreneurial experience, Matthew spent several years as the Director for Business Development at a national commercial construction firm. Matthew led the sales efforts for over $100M of new construction in the State of Texas. Additionally, Matthew assisted with each new project’s contract review and risk management.

Prior to becoming a real estate investor, Matthew worked in the securities and financial investment industry earning his FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 general securities license. Matthew also served as an active duty and reserve Officer in the United States Marine Corps from 2003 to 2010, leading Marines in combat support operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Matthew has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Art in History from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Matthew also earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
